It has been a while. :D

I'm not doing the audio yet -- I'll probably get to it this summer, although I would like to start sooner to play with equipment and get the feel for what I'm doing.

Amazon/Audible has the Audiobook Creation Exchange (http://www.acx.com) wherein one can either narrate one's own works or hire narrators, producers, etc. Because I'm bootstrapping my way up, I'll start with doing it myself. (Their page on authors as narrators. Their rules on audiobook production.)

To decide on equipment, since I couldn't find books on creating audiobooks, I looked at Tee Morris (et al.)'s Podcasting For Dummies. You can see what I've decided to get on my Amazon wish list; putting it on the list helps me keep track of what I want.

For software, I'll probably use some combination of GarageBand (Mac software, comes with the computer) and Audacity (open source, cross-platform software).

And when I get set up, I'll probably need a beta listener or two to check on the quality of my recordings before I upload them.
