Saturday, we lost power for about half an hour. It was, at worst, an inconvenience that encouraged the boy to go outside and play. Today, the power flickered a few times, and that’s more annoying when it’s a work day and I’m trying to do money-making activities. Still, nothing like the end of October and our several days without power.
I’m grateful for electricity, knowing that I can have light at the flip of a switch, that the computer is available for writing and editing and indexing and connecting to the world, that the oven can bake the bread dough I left to rise this afternoon. I’m grateful that in the place I live, I can take it for granted most of the time.
Electricity makes my life easier.
What are you grateful for today?
