truly simpatico

Talking to the husband this morning. I told him that as time goes on, I see more validity in those writers who comment that most of the work of writing isn't visible--like Lawrence Block, who talks about writing the book in his head before he ever sits down at a keyboard. I said that so much of the time, it looks like I'm wasting my time or doing nothing, but that time is actually necessary for my writing.

His response? "It's much the same for mathematicians."

I love this man! Complete acceptance. <3
