Sleep. Sleep would be good.
Feb. 23rd, 2017 12:36 amThe other day, our son was accusing me of being obsessed with sleep. I tried to explain to him that’s only because the last time I had a week wherein I got a full night’s sleep each night was around sixteen years ago. (Go ahead, guess how old he’ll be on his next birthday.) He didn’t seem to think the reason was important.
Anyway, I’ve trapped myself in this loop where I’m up late writing, then I have trouble getting up in the morning, but I have to get the kids off to school, then I’m too awake for a nap, so I try to work but I don’t have any focus until midafternoon when the family’s getting home, and I do paying work or SFWA things, so I don’t write until late and I don’t get as many words as I want …
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll manage a nap so I can regain my focus faster.
