In some ways, literally.

I always said I wouldn't dye my hair to cover the silver. I was going to age gracefully.

Then I looked in the mirror yesterday and realized how very much silver I have, especially obvious if I part my hair.

At the store today, I picked up a package of Nice 'N' Easy. I hope I chose the right tone of brown.

Now you've gone and upset T'chileg. He's gone looking for dragon scale dye to cover his silver...

I won't tell. But I've had the start of a silver streak since high school. I joke about it being like Rogue from the X-Men, but I'm not looking forward to it being more than that.

I'm with you, girl. Right now I'm considering adding caramel colored streaks to my medium-brown hair. Just because I hate being mousey brown.

Welcome to the club. :D I've been hiding the grey for about 12 years now, and I'm only 33 years old. It's a wonderfully refreshing feeling after the shampoo and blow dry to look at color crowning your temples again. I actually have a friend of mine do it at the salon where she works. It's really my only indulgence other than books and more books and pens and notebooks... *hugs*

It's not as big as Rogue's yet, but it's getting bigger every year... I must admit, I do rather like it.

Bah. I got my first greys at 14. My older sister quite gleefully pointed out that I was going grey before her.

Personally, I'm fond of bright pink, neon orange, and deep azure. :P

Why don't you just dye it all grey?

Aw, are you sure you don't want to try to match your Muse icon picture? The bright blue would be quite fetching.

My hair doesn't gray, it just commits suicide and jumps out first. :)

Well, it's graying at the temples, but being blond kind of hides that. My wife used to say "That's not gray, just really white. You're not old." Because If I was getting old, she would be only a few years behind. heh

I started with white blond hair, but I don't spend enough time in the sun so now you can see my streaks. I have a white blond streak on either side of my face, from my temples down. It's more or less visible depending on how dark the rest of my hair gets. My older sis has the white skunk streak on dark dark brown hair. Me, I'm just hoping the true gray is wiry enough to give my hair some life :).

Well, my normal hair is about 40% white. I've been dyeing it for a couple of years now, but recently I went to a henna gel because I didn't like what the dye was doing to my hair texture. So it's not black anymore with auburn highlights, it's either dark brown or red with white roots, depending on how long it's been since I did it (henna fades after a while).

I started getting white hair when I was 18, so I know how big a change it is. :)

You can do that (I looked into that) but first you have to bleach it out with peroxide. Does icky things to the hair.

My mom, at several years past retirement age still has less grey hair than I do. My dad, on the other hand, was basically all grey by somewhere around my age, so I'm hoping to shoot for the average between them. If my older siblings are an indication, there's some hope. :) (Of course, how do I know my sisters don't dye?)

If I want more skin cancer scars. No thank you :). I absorb what warmth I can from the shadows.

LOL! Did you notice how you brought the topic round full circle ;). Me, I just try to get enough sun so my hair isn't the color of pencil lead.
