PA doesn’t know what season it is

Yesterday, while driving home after picking up my son from engineering club, I couldn’t believe my eyes. A cherry tree blooming in mid-December? I took a walk this morning and took pictures to capture this sight.

I hope a freeze doesn't come along and damage the tree!

We, on the other hand, are having freezing weather and frost at night and not getting up past the high 50's during the day. Strange weather for southern California.

Oh, I'm sure we're going to get a freeze at some point. The only question is when, and how many other trees will be budding out before that. (Not my apple tree, though, because it needs a hard freeze to bloom.)

That is odd for Southern Cal!
