I’ve been really lax about blogging since I got back from vacation. Lax about writing, too, but I’m trying to dig in.

Books read 2017: 12? 13? I just finished one yesterday, and I’m pretty sure I read one or two around the end of vacation.

In other news, teaching our daughter to bake. She wants to do a red velvet cake, but our first cake was a sponge cake with Nutella and vanilla pudding for filling. The roll looked lovely until I transferred it from the parchment paper to the plate. Basically, she did it all right, and the mistakes are mine.
