I remember how we competed for word count during Nano 2006. I was new to FM and Nano and you were very friendly.

And Sabra's sitting here on a shelf, red-lined, waiting for me to type edits in and resolve the dreaded White Room Syndrome. I see you've at least been *editing* Basiltine!

It's out for critting now and it looks like it needs extensive revisions, perhaps even a complete rewrite. Heck, it's a first novel, what do you expect? ;-)

Right now, I'm trying to apply lessons learned to several new projects - better story arcs, clearer obstacles, that sort of thing. The goal is to get one more completed first draft done by the end of July.

Basiltine taught me a lot, but it'll stay on a shelf itself for awhile.
