Okay, after having protested that I'm not weird, it's the rest of the world, I'm doing this.
Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write a LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
1. I use mouthwash and brush my hair at the same time; I count strokes of the hair brush to keep track of how long I've had the Listerine in my mouth.
2. I garden by the principle that there is no such thing as too many daffodils.
3. I almost always say yes to more paying work, even when I know that it will leave me triple-booked and low on sleep. (And I always say I won't do it again.)
4. When visiting other people, I pick up books they've left lying around and start reading, often preferring the book to conversation.
5. At any given time, I have a book I am in the progress of reading in at least 5 rooms of the house.
Right, so now I'm supposed to tag people. Okay, no idea at the moment who's already done this meme, although I know it's been around a while. So if you've already done it, feel free to ignore me. Tag, you're it,
bonniers,
adais,
chanphenglew,
touch_of_ink, and
hookedoncoffee.

Re: *smile*
Date: 2006-02-25 07:46 pm (UTC)& Art of Fiction is in my game room pile. Along with Where Last the Sweet Birds Sang and Kit's Wilderness. Okay, I've got little leaning towers all over the house too. And don't think I have print-induced deafness, but if you ask Jerome...

Date: 2006-02-26 06:38 am (UTC)Not true any more, though. Have to keep an ear open at all times with a little one in the house. Otherwise, I'd only read when he's asleep.
I was thinking this week I might try to post what's in my "current" pile in each room, as well as, say, the top 20 or so on shelves that are TBR as soon as I get around to them, like Gun, Germs, and Steel.
Re: *smile*
Date: 2006-02-26 09:07 am (UTC)& I'd certainly read a list of your TBR books - I can't walk around your house and look at your bookshelves without a plane ticket, but hey, all writers look at the bookshelves whenever they enter someone's house or apartment for the first time. I didn't think I did that, but um, I was lying to myself.
