sleep? who needs sleep?
Note to self: Regardless of what the doctor says, when the baby has been sick and not feeling herself *and* she just got two shots and so is even more out of her normal pattern, do NOT choose this night to let baby try to sleep through the night alone in her own room. Especially if you want to get some sleep.
Oh, right. Too late.

Go to bed early tonight (or tell hubby to take over while you take a long nap).

I was in bed not long after 9:30 . . . very unusual!
How's your own littlest doing?

*grins*
Actually, my in-laws say that my husband was much easier than his younger brother, and if they'd had the younger one first, they wouldn't have had two.
Our older kid seems to have gotten my attention span, poor kid, as well as the high energy levels I had as a child, making the kid a bit of a handful at times. On the other hand, give the kid a book, and peace ensues. :-D

Doctor?
Is a doctor trying to encourage you to push her through the night?
1. The doctor is not living in your house.
2. What is being asked of a three month old infant is, in my educated opinion, contrary to mammalian biology.
But what do I know? I'm just one of those freakish co-sleepers with three incredibly smart and well-adjusted kids, despite them going through some major hell a few years ago.

I'm a fan of co-sleeping myself. Told the husband I didn't know that I was emotionally ready for the separation. On the flip side, hubby's been asking for a while when we put her in her own room. So I'm feeling a tad out-voted on this.
On the plus side, last night was better. She still woke twice, but I got her back to sleep without picking her up. The second time, in fact, her complaint seemed to be mostly that she'd wiggled around and smashed her face up against the bars.
Thanks for the support! And yeah, your kids are awesome.

That rule works for kittens, but not necessarily for human babies...

Yeah, the What to Expect book says that some breastfed babies may well still need a feeding at night. The last couple of nights, though, she has been willing to go back to sleep without nursing. *crosses fingers*
